In my new series of works, I try to reflect on the natural and man-made identity and diversity. I pry on an object or process, catch an analogy, and try to convey it in my own way.
I draw inspiration from ordinary things and phenomena, but I try to show them not literally, but in a simplified abstract form, putting the main into the one clear message. Earlier, I tried to make this by realistic forms, but now I prefer to do this with color and texture more than by using plot. The technique of polyurethane resins allows me to enhance the desired effect. So, the molten asphalt really “flows on the canvas”, and the spots of the black and white cow are voluminous, you can touch them. (c) Irena Tone
